Jonathan Madge
Jonathan Madge studied law at the University of Birmingham and qualified as a solicitor in 1997. He has specialised in family law in Plymouth since 2000 and qualified as a Collaborative lawyer in 2007.
He joined Hartnell Chanot & Partners in January 2011 after 10 years with another local practice.
Jonathan specialises in divorce cases and resolving the financial issues that arise from marriage breakdown. He aims to help clients to negotiate practical and fair outcomes for themselves and the children wherever possible either by the traditional approach of negotiation between solicitors or by using Collaborative Law. Where it is not possible to reach an early agreement Jonathan has considerable experience of taking cases to court and is successful in helping clients to reach a fair agreement, in most cases without the need for a final hearing.
