BBC1 children's news programme Newsround is to tackle divorce using animation and drama.
Divorce will be covered by Newsround in The Worst Thing Ever?, a short film using real children's experiences to create a "powerful drama about a child witnessing the breakdown of his parents' relationship", according to the BBC.
Animated tips in the film are aimed at helping children deal with the pressure created by their parents splitting up. These have been written and voiced by 12-year-old Libby Rees and inspired by her book Help, Hope and Happiness, which she penned from her own experience of family breakup.
The programme will air on BBC1 and the CBBC channel in the spring.
