45 per cent of all marriages will end in divorce

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates that just under half of all marriages will break down.
The statistics are based on the current divorce rates and estimate that most marriages will fail before the 10th anniversary: the chances of splitting up drop to just 15 per cent after 20 years.
