Grandparents' Association - the fastest growing membership organisation for grandparents in the country. Launched in 1987 by a group of grandparents whose grandchildren had been put into care, adopted from care or were not allowed any contact with them.
Grandparents Plus - a national charity, promotes the vital role of grandparents and the extended family in children’s lives, particularly where parents are no longer able to care for their children. We do this through partnerships, evidence based projects and training to support practitioners, and through networks, newsletters and consultation to give grandparents, extended families and grandchildren a voice.
Grandparents Apart - A self help group dedicated to ease the suffering of grandparents and grandchildren and extended families torn apart.
Grandparents As Parents - The grandparents support group Grandparents As Parents (G.A.P.) was founded in 2003 as a local support group for grandparents who are full time carers to their grandchildren.

Mentor UK - Mentor has been working with Adfam and Grandparents Plus, with funding from the Department of Health, to assess the needs of grandparents who are bringing up their grandchildren, so that they can help protect their grandchildren from developing problems with drugs and alcohol. They have put together a pack called Mind The Gap for grandparents who are bringing up grandchildren and professionals who work with these grandparents.
