Emma Benyon-Tinker joined Hartnell Chanot & Partners in January 2008 after a successful period as an Associate Solicitor following qualification in 2001.
She has spent the past 7 years specialising exclusively in family law dealing with divorce, separation agreements, private children work (acting for parents in residence and contact disputes), and ancillary relief where she has been actively involved in a number of big money cases involving substantial assets. She also has experience with pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitee issues, and dealing with disputes under the Trust of Land Act.
Emma's previous position at a law firm in the South East gained her invaluable experience acting for police officers and/or their wives serving with the Metropolitan Police - expertise she now brings with her to our Devon and Cornwall Police Team.
Whilst the majority of her caseload is private client based, Emma continues to offer assistance to legal aid clients and her experience as a Collaborative Lawyer means she is fully trained to resolve divorce and family disputes with dignity and respect.
An experienced advocate, Emma will represent clients herself where possible and is both approachable to her clients and respected by other solicitors in her field.
