About Us

Founded in 1991 by Norman Hartnell, Hartnell Chanot & Partners Ltd (formerly known as Hartnells) has grown to become the largest family law solicitors in the region (Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset) employing fourteen divorce solicitors, legal executives and trainees, and a total dedicated staff of over 30.

We specialise in divorce and separation and are able to offer eligible clients public funding (formerly called legal aid). Our team of divorce solicitors hold a variety of specialist qualifications and service standards including:
